Every year Marcia Baraldi participates in Quilt Exhibitions around the World. In Brazil, she already displayed her quilts in Quilt Shows, Quilt Contest Exhibitions and Public Spaces! In some of these exhibitions, the quilts of her students are featured as well. These quilters produce one quilt using the techniques learned at the Marcia Baraldi Online Quilting Courses and show to the public their art! Yes, you´ve heard it right! Marcia Baraldi quilting classes are online! Since 2016 she has launched more than 5 online workshops in Brazil teaching different classes. More than 600 students has already participated in at least one of the workshops and their quilts travel around Quilt Shows at the Exhibitions! I´m happy to share with you that I´ll be teaching classes at the International Quilt Festival in Houston this year!  The Classes are: November 1st: Creating Fillers with Rulers – Learn how to use Rulers to create beautiful quilting fillers! Reverse Trapunto Demonstration – The quilting technique was developed by Marcia and teaches an easy way to create reliefs on your quilt! Quilting is my passion, teaching quilting even more! Nine years ago I gave my first Quilting Class in Brazil! It was a challenge at that time, but challenges are what makes us grow right? Before teaching my first class I was (and still am) a dedicated student. All the classes that I could take I took, I went far from home to learn new techniques and quilting skills, and nowadays I am constantly learning from Brazilian quilters, International quilters, and even my students! Today I teach in many cities in Brazil and several countries in Latin America as Argentina, Uruguay, Chile, Mexico, and the United States at Guilds, Quilt shops, Festivals, and Shows. One of the things I like the most on classes is to see how one person can enhance its skills so quickly if feels motivated to do it. I always say that quilting is a movement, not drawing, and to be good at this movement you need to practice. There are several different methods to practice it in an effective way and that´s what makes possible to become a successful quilter! In one of the techniques I developed, with only 3 movements the student can create many different designs. All the techniques and methods I developed are easy to understand and put in practice. So if I could give you a tip it would be, study and practice the more you can and believe in yourself! The rest is a consequence. Last month I participated as an Expositor on the AQS Quiltweek in Paducah! I was also a Semi-Finalist at the show with the Quilt named “RAFA” made together with my sister Valeria Baraldi! It was my second year participating in the show with a Booth! The first time was in 2018! But I´ve been going to the show for some years already. Before I´ve become a teacher and quilting products designer I used to go to Paducah with Brazilian excursions with all my quilters friends! Paducah is magic for quilters! Every time I´m there it´s like the first time! The AQS Quiltweek this year was marvelous! Beautiful quilts on the Exhibition, lots of people and new ideas! It´s like breathing quilting! I truly recommend a visit to Paducah AQS Quiltweek every year! Because every year is different, you´ll always have something new to see and learn! The staff that organizes the show is amazing! Always taking care of every detail and very helpful! Special thanks to Susan, bringing joy every morning before the show open! Bellow some pics of the show!

This year Studio Marcia Baraldi has already entered two Contests as a Semi-finalist! The Quilt selected is from Marcia Baraldi together with her sister Valeria Baraldi and will be traveling around Daytona Beach and Lancaster next March! Do you know the Quilting Grip Gloves? I´ve created grip gloves to help you to create beautiful quilts. When you are making a quilt in a sitdown machine it´s necessary to low down the feed dogs so you can free-motion quilt. This way, your hands will be the ones pushing the sandwich in any direction to create quilting designs. To avoid slipping your hands you need the Quilting Grip Gloves. With them, the curves will be smoother and the stitch more consistent.
